SPARK is a free augmentative and alternative communication app built to make everyday communication fast, familiar, and personal.

Our mission

We want people to have a communication tool that can grow around their own words, routines, preferences, and access needs.

SPARK combines ready-to-use communication boards with flexible editing, helpful offline prediction, saved phrases, and settings that keep important controls within reach.

How we build SPARK

Personal by design

Vocabulary, images, speech, and layout should reflect the person communicating—not force everyone into the same setup.

Calm and usable

The interface favors clear choices, familiar positions, and practical settings over visual noise or unnecessary complexity.

Private by default

Core communication and prediction work locally. SPARK does not require an account or send messages to a server during normal use.
